ALBAYALDE READY TO FIRE 'NINJA COPS'- BUT REINVESTIGATION SHOWS NO PROVEN WRONGDOING
Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Oscar Albayalde pledged that he would sign the dismissal of his former subordinates, the so-called "ninja cops," if the reinvestigation proved they should be removed.
However, subsequent inquiries revealed that no proven wrongdoing was established in the controversial 2013 Pampanga drug raid.

During the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing, Senator Panfilo Lacson asked Albayalde if he would affirm the dismissal should the National Police Commission (Napolcom) reinstate it. Albayalde replied without hesitation: "I will sign it, Sir."
Yet findings from the PNP Internal Affairs Service (IAS) and Napolcom emphasized that no solid evidence tied Albayalde to the irregularities. Even the Department of Justice (DOJ) had dismissed the criminal charges against the accused policemen for lack of sufficient basis.
